I shifted to my apartment about 3 years back. 6months later I signed up with YOU. Thats where my nightmare started. Yes 2.5 years on the saga continues.
As promised I got the cable within 24 hours and then I waited and waited and waited and waited some more but no activation. The first bill arrived like clockwork. Zero(0) usage no activation even the cable hasnt been crimped yet but I am sent a bill. I called up the sales rep and he smartly says "sir itl be activated in 6 hours".... three days later I get frustrated and call up the call center and ask for the connection to be disconnected, reply "please come to the office and give in writing saar"....
Some of the choiciest of swear words and three reps later I called up the sales guy again and gave him an earfull. He says "sir I think that account was not setup properly I am personally assuring you please take a second connection in your wifes name well get it commissioned properly and also disconnect the other one... no need to go to the office"....
I dont really know if he hypnotized me or made me snort some of the stuff that he was on or what but I said ok!!! Two days later I got the new connection wired, activated and all. I was happy with the fact that I had a connection finally as SiFy was almost always down and I had been using my Tata Indicom Walky for internet requirements which was a costly affair..... anyways next month I get a bill for 1k for this new account. This after having been told in writing that the first three months are not going ot be charged under some scheme at that time. Again call to the brain dead call center...... "sir we have sent the request to the back end team they will get in touch with you"....
No backend team touched me anywhere for a month and next month another bill this time included last months dues...... poop had hit the roof.... called up and told them about status of last connection, "sir there are dues pending on that you need to clear".... I asked him what exactly was I supposed to do with a frayed CAT5 cable shove it up someones back side and browse the net? How can they bill me if they have not activated that connection.
No response.... then a meek "ok sir backend team will get in touch with you"..... ok! what about these two bills.... sir "that scheme was discontinued 5 days back".... fine but why am I being charged? "sir we discontinued the scheme"... yeah but I got this connection when the scheme was on!!! "ok sir backend team will get in touch with you"..... next month no call new bill this time 3k..... called up tushar the salesman from hell.... "sir I am in amravati or some place attending wedding of my father please call call center"..... irritated I put in a request for disconnection..... and then started the back and forth which lasted 2.5 years..
Finally I get a legal notice saying if dues not cleared I will be taken to court!! Im so pissed I cant evn begin to describe mmy anger at this point...... I call up the call center (had stopped calling to follow up since the past 1 year).... they heard me out and then sent Tushar and two hefties to collect the 2850 in previous dues..... I understand that if I give them 400 bucks all previous outstanding is waived and for another 560 they will disconnect the two connections after reactivating and some such sh*t...... whatever I just gave them 960 bucks and told them to get out of my hair for good....
At this point youd think all would end, right?! Wrong. This was Feb 2009, 30 Feb 2009 I got the bill for 686 bucks for one account and 510 for the other one. Call up Shahid and tushar of youtele the guys who had taken the payment and all.... both say please ignore paper bill weve put in request for disconnection it will happen..... ok fine 14th of march I call up to find out if disconnection is over and done with.... "no sir you have an outstanding.....".... frustration like nothing anyone has ever known.... ever..... choiciest swear words on the phone, escalation to backend and finally an assurance after about a month of mind f@#$ that one of my connections will be disconnected. The other connection I am still waiting to hear about........ Am pretty sure that the first connection too will not be disconnected so easily but heck it was a managers assurance it must have some weight.....
So thats the story so far..... more of a nightmare... STAY AWAY FROM YOUTELE at all costs they are "DEMENTORS".... they suck away happiness from your lives :D
