Micromax has launched a new sister company named YU. The first device which has been launched by YU is YU Yureka. Performance, price and design is as unique as the price. Yu Yureka is said to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note killer since it provides many extra features at the same price.
Form Factor:
YU Yureka has a large 5.5" HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass Display. the Device is sleek, light weighted and comfortable to hold, Thanks to the Sandstone back cover it provides good grip. The Power button is on the Right side and Volume Rockers have been placed on the Left side. On top, there is an earphone jack and bottom contain charging pin. The Back panel is removable.
Hardware & Software:
Yureka is a dual sim phone with inbuilt 16GB support of external memory card(up to 32 GB). OTG is supported.
It has 13MP Rear camera with Flash and a 5MP Front camera. Camera quality is above average and one can capture great photos in the daylight.
Yu Yureka was initially launched with CyanogenMod 11, which is based on Android Kitkat 4.4.4 but, now it has been updated with latest CM 12 based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1
One of the best thing of CM is you can customize your device as and how you want and there are many extra features too. Another awesome thing is you can freely root your device and your warranty will not be void.
Performance:
The Performance of the device is good and you will hardly notice any lag while doing normal switching. Thanks to CyanogenMod Team. It scores about 35-38k in Antutu benchmark score which is pretty decent for a phone with a price of Rs 8999.
Battery Life:
Yureka has 2500 Mah battery which is not so great. with a bigger screen and performance it should have be 3000+
However due to managing of OS you can expect battery life of 18-20 hrs with moderate usage.
