The BEAST is here? No, its not.
What’s up guys, Harshit Beniwal here from QTV. Today, lets talk about the best phone of the year. First of all, it is not the best phone( not even in its own price range) . What it is, is the best advertised phone, The best hyped phone!
It packs specs that make your jaw drop and drool all over, thats what happened to me when I saw it launched. Metallic body, quadHD( 1440p) display, best in house processor( snapdragon 810) and what not.
But you soon realise that it is nothing more than a fraud, well not actually. But it is not what it claims to be. Lets check where it lags and where it doesnt.
#1 Screen: nice, good screen. Nothing unbelievable but it is quite good, considering its price point?( 4/5)
#2 Build quality: very good, to be honest. Nice metallic feel, I like how it appeals to the eyes, but is prone to slipping.?( 4/5)
#3 Camera: disappointing. Not up to the mark at all. With f/2.2 aperture, it is quite bad considering what cameras you can get for the same price point.?( 2.5/5)
#4 OS: cyanogen mod. When you hear that, you think it must be good as cyanogenmod has build up quite a reputation, but the OS and the hardware are not quite optimised well enough to work together, so all the juicy RAM and beefy processor in the phone lacks as the OS can not make full use of its potential. Hangs sometimes, but did not experience any crashes and forced restarts till now.?( 3/5)
Overall verdict? Dont buy this phone, instead you can but the well balanced, oneplus 2, for the same price. Check out my review for Oneplus Two in my profile.
