Is this Rahman ????

There is a distinct difference between the Rahman who composed Taal and the Rahman who composed Yuva.

He is using more and more techno and electronic jingle - jangle in his scores to make the audience jump rather than look for melody.

He ends up more sound engineer than composer

I mean seriously but the title track sounds like ’Eena Meena Deeka’ remixed ?!?!?!?

I am sure most of the songs will look good when they are picturised but then one would expect the

music to be moving.

Lucky Ali saves ’Shukriyaa Meherbani’

’Kabhi Neem Neem’ sounds like a leftover from the ’’Saathiyaa’’ sound track more like ’Chalkaa Chalkaa’ redone.

’Dol Dol’ is again techno/disco etc etc

I am running out of steam. I guess all his die hard fans on ’’mouthshut’’

are more like ’’mouthopen and drooling’’ over this mediocre stuff

from one of our best composers.

Compare ’Yuva’ to Rahman’s ’Boys’ album and u will see the difference

and understand what I mean. It has the same type of songs and

although it sounds like a strange coincidence the singers are more or less

the same on both albums.

Even though ’Boys’ is in Tamil that music makes you jump.
