Mirch Masala !!

Take a huge pot, add two special vegetables..then add a cup of action..mix it properly. Add few energetic dialogues according to your taste. Boil the mixture till interval. Then add one item song and again add some action into the solution. Spread two spoons patriotism and that’s it..the dish called “Zameen” is ready ! Serve it hot.

The Recipe

Zameen is a patriotic action film which deals with the Indo-Pak dispute in a stylish way. The story line is very exciting and talks about a Plane Hijack by terrorists. In the first half, terrorists enter into the India & after interval they hijack the plane. Army joins the hands with city police to solve the problem.

Couple of action scenes & bipash basu keep the audience’s interest alive & after the interval its whole new story. All the action sequences like catching the terrorist in POK, chasing the gun supplier in city are breathtaking and are executed very well.

Issues like Parliament attack, Akshardham temple and Kandhar hijack which were the talk of town before few days were used very well in the film.

As a mandatory requirement, the film does have a meaningless item number played by not-so-sexy Amrita Arora.

In the old days of bollywood, clash of titans was a trend, Amitabh and Shatru, Dilip and Raj kumar and other big combinations were used to draw the audience to cinema halls. Director used the same formula here. Clash of Ajay and Abhishek is really watchable.

All and all the dish is very Masaledar.

Ingredients

This film is an offering from a new cook named Rohit Shetty. I must say that he has done his homework very well & proved this by executing this film brilliantly. He has handled the story as well as the two characters very nicely. Thumb up for Mr. Shetty.

Ajay Devgan… do I need to say anything?? He just seems to be forgotten how to stop. He is continuously delivering brilliant performances film after film. He adds life & energy into the role of an Army officer…just brilliant.

Abhishek’s character reminded me of the character Amitabh played in Kala Pathhar. He has played the guy fighting with the memories of the mistakes he has done in the past, and is looking for a opportunity to prove himself. He was a perfect choice for the role of an ACP.

Bipasha had nothing to do except reminding the Abhishek time to time that she loves him. Mukesh Tivari as a terrorist and Mohan joshi as a senior Army officer did justice to their roles.

Rest of the cast is good enough.

Humm..it tastes good !

The movie has all the necessary ingredients which a typical Bollywood flick should have. Good action sequences & nice cinematography completes the experience. Sound effects(sometimes over effects) & editing are also good. Dialogues by Javed Siddiqui energize the crowd. And at last Ajay & Abhishek make it a worth watch.

Last pie

So, if you want a refreshing change after weekdays work and if you are now tired with offbeat movies and if you are really missing a the masala of bollywood.. just rush to watch this film.

At least for Ajay & Abhishek.
