I tried using it when I had cold, I would have never bought this if the medical store had Vicks with them. They were short of vicks so I had left with no other option than zandu balm. I used it for steam. Yuk the smell is so bad, it literally stinks. The water for nice hot and I put a big quantity of zandu balm, within a minute or two it was not affective. There tried stirring the water, it works sometimes but not in this case. It was completely of no use. Simply waste of time and money. It is not even useful when applied for head ache or blocked nose. For nose, it feels good for 2 to 3 minutes. Again it gets choked. Vicks in compare is the best by far.
