I had ordered a number of products from Zansaar and thought they did an OK job until I ordered a sofa bed priced at Rs.40, 000. The order was placed December 24th and their web site indicated delivery with 15- 20 days.
I had to call them towards the last week in January for status since I got no call from them. Then I was assured it would be here by February 15th. Each time I called the rep gave a different answer apparently because they don’t input any conversation with customer?! Once I was told to expect it by February 25-26th. When I tried to verify the date I was told it would be March 3rd? I finally had to insist on speaking with a manager and was told all will be done to deliver on the 26th.
Delivery man initially said he would be here by 4 pm. and then calls me at 9.30 pm.to say they could be here in 2 hours! Are they crazy to think I would open my door to total strangers at midnight for a sofa bed to be brought inside?
An earlier instance of no follow up also made me frustrated when I had to continuously call for status on a Paella pan which then they tried to give me store credit because they could not deliver it. I insisted that they credit my bank account from where the payment was made.
Generally when service is totally off and customer is angry and frustrated, managers usually offer some credit especially when the item is a higher price. I had to insist that some discount should be offered for my stress and frustration. He offered store credit of Rs. 500- I asked him to keep it since I do not want to buy anything else from them.
I will not be ordering anything else from Zansaar since their customer service stinks. No internal controls exist and reps have no clue what the status is of any items- since they don’t seem to input any updates?
