Zapak - ATM Contest Scams - Be Alert!

This is what happened. I occasionally visit Zapak.com for playing some games. One day I found there was some contest called ATM2. This contest is about gifting people based on more number of games they play in a single day. I found some of the gifts attractive(life Bigflix voucher) and started think that I can earn some over my weekends.

First I wanted to make sure it was not a cheap technique to attract people. So I’ve just played few games in a day and scored enough to get a Rs.50 Voucher. Waited for some days but gifts wasn’t sent. Then I’ve decide to take some risk and played a whole day and scored to get a Rs.1000 voucher. Then I was keeping my fingers crossed that something will come out later.

After couple of weeks(may be a month I think) I’ve got vouchers for both. Here’s the thing happen, though they claim the voucher will be based on one of 6 gifts mentioned in the contest they will send only voucher for window2india.com(almost for 99% people). Ok, then I was happy with at least what i’ve got. Then i’ve visited window2india website and there is a separate section for zapak winners to purchase their gifts. Most items where not worthy for buy and more importantly prices kept increased so much than the actual prices. For e.g, I saw a Nokia mobile(outdated model) which you can buy for Rs.3200 price given as Rs.4700. So like the all other products listed.

Another interesting forgery was if you get a voucher for Rs.250 you need to purchase product listed at least of Rs.1000 and above Ranges. If you got Rs.1000 then you need to get something in range of Rs.5000 and above. You may ask why shouldn’t I get into the Rs.250 category and buy from there using this voucher. I tried the same thing! I’ve tried purchasing a Bluetooth headset of TCL for which price given as Rs.999, transaction done successfully. But guess what! You don’t receive the product at all. You can not get back to window2india.com and claim it because after the transaction done it won’t appear in your purchased list also they don’t supply any reference number which you can claim for your transaction.

So obviously these ATM contests are big scams. And the moral of my story is if you want to play and enjoy your favourite games do so. But don’t spent your effort for winning prices into these contests which are simply waste of time, energy and electricity.

Hope this message useful for some future players of ATM contests.
