OK, guys. I am a dud. I couldnt understand this book. Maybe the fact that there was too much of the mechanical stuff (abt motorcycles, I mean) that made my feminine mind to switch off. But, it was with great difficulty that I went through the book, and finally gave up without finishing the last chapter.
I know there is some philosophy involved. And, believe you me, I can read a lot of subtle stuff and understand (no boasting)! But, this just had me floored! For instance, the author starts talking about how his friend just gets put off by tinkering around with electrical/mechanical repairs and calls pros to take care. Whereas, it really is all so simple. But, I belong to the first category and really see no issues or philosophy. Yes, there are things that you love and do well and want to explore. And, there are things that are novel and alien and you just dont think it is worth your while to spend time on those things. So...so?
So. I think, that is what he was trying to say and he said it in a complex way. Maybe western philosophy doesnt appeal to me. Maybe I just love our Hindu myths that convey profound philosophies through simple stories. Give me those anytime.
