Many of you would be looking for an E-series phone or a Samsung Corby for a full keypad so that writng mails and sms are easier but you also wish these had dual sim capabilty with so many service providers floating a new offer everyday.
At last Zen a Delhi based mobile company has come out with a Dual SIM(Both GSM) Dual Standby(both sim workign together) with desireable features at a very cheap price point Rs 3299.
Features list:
Blackberry looks(Feels good better than China sets or spice handsets)
Big 2.2 inch screen
QWERTY keypad
Dual GSM Sim(Dual Standby)
3.5 mm Audio Jack
Micro USB Port
FM Radio with recording
MP3 palyer
Video Player.
Shake to change songs
Shake to change wallpaper
Other standard features like
Calculator, Alarm, Calendar, Games etc
PC Sync Software is also available if you search in google.
Dual sim works perfectly, in the contacts are sorted by SIM1, SIM2, Phone and All.
Sound Quality is very loud and clear(free from distortion) from the loudspeaker
Sound Qulaity through headphones is also decent(Noise cancellation type ear buds available)
Camera quality is worse even though its 1.3 Mpx but takes long time to save the photo and gets blurred most of the times.(Good point you can use it as a webcam)
FM reception is also decent.(Preset list is not good as it is for all cities and not Kolkata specific)
Keyboard feels nice and you can type a lot fater with the Full QWERTY.
Because of the 3.5 mm jack you can use your own pair of headphones.
Menu interface is like chinese mobiles and my opnion is lot of improvemts could have been done here and then the phone would look like a sophisticated one.
I cheked out some other phones like Micromax Q3(Rs 4500) and Maxx(Rs 4200) None had 3.5 mm jack(Shopkeeper did not let me switch on).
So because of the price point and 3.5 mm jack availablity and other prefercen DUAL SIM QWERT I settled for the Zen 77.
Till now Battery life and call quality has been excellent. With lot of music and messaging charge lasts for more than 2 days.
As far as now, everything seems to be working fine.
In my opinion Rs 3299 is justified but not a penny more because this is just like any other chinese handset probably with 1 year service warranty(if the company lasts that long though)
