When I entered college, the need for a personal computer grew. I wanted a laptop that was Cheap, workable, and with decent performance. At first sight, I considered HP, Dell Vostro, HCL Me etc . But then I heard about zenith, and seeing its good looks, cheaper price, I decided to go for it.
And there starts my saga of discontent!!
From the first day itself the wireless Adapter was not working, the PC sometimes did not recognize USB devices, and the scroll function on the touchpad didn’t work. I called the service center helpline given on the website of the company. No response. I called the service in charge of the eastern region( Where I stay).He asked me to get the pc to his workshop 130 km away. I did that. He kept the PC for 3 days and later informed me that I would have to leave it there for another week while he "received the spares ordered from Mumbai"
Furious, I collected my Laptop and called him after a week.
The Shocker I received was that my product was not under warranty and the company wouldn’t service it. Apparently the dealer had kept the computer for over a year in his store, and the company granted warranty only for 15 months from the date of sale to the dealer.
As a customer , how was I supposed to know this?Nowhere is it written in the bill, and also on the warranty card. The present situation is that my touchpad does not work and I have to carry a mouse wherever I go. The wireless remains defunct, and the usb problem seems to be getting worse. I have no support from the company, which claims to be always on.
I curse the day when I bought this scrap worthy piece of junk. Unless you have loads of money and time and patience to waste, please AVOID any Zenith products, no matter how cheap they come. They are all cheap Chinese assembled products that have no quality control standards. And that’s why they are cheaper than the competitors.
