I opened a Zerodha account assuming I can happily invest in SIPs, I opened the same in Zerodha and my coin.zerodha account was not opened and I waited for the same 2 days. I started calling them(today is the 5th consecutive day) and for hearing the same responce as please wait for 24 hrs and I am hearing the same from last 5 days(it is 524= 120 Hrs) till now.
I opened an account on 22nd or 23rd of Sep 2021
I can see my coin.zerodha was not enabled still on 25th
I called help desk and Created a ticket on 25th
Got response on 26th saying my Bank account details are not correct(IFSC code in particular)
I realized that my bank IFSC code was changed and I updated using the OLD IFSC code
System shouldn’t accept the invalid IFSC code in first case but it accepted it
Now they are charging some 20Rs+ GSD for account changing.
I am not changing the account Number, I am correcting it. But still they are charging for the same
I got the confirmation mail saying my account details are corrected
Still I am not able to login and customer care is asking me to wait for 24 more hrs
I am fed-up with listening to 24 hrs timeperiod.
Pros
- I am not a pro or proceeded any further investing to know much pros, but customer care is responding though not resolving the issue
Cons
For a newcomer to market, it is bit scary experience to know I have to pay for everything I do in my account. Brings me more doubts if I invest some thing and gets locked there because I may have to pay something more in future
0 charges may look like a fancy term to attract investors
As I don’t have any investment in Zerodha yet, I can step back and thing at least now to proceed further investing or not, it may go with 200 Rs Account opening+ 20 Rs Acc info Change+ GSD= 220+ GSD if I stop here
Guyz, think twice as I said I am taking Backseat as of now to invest though Zerodha unless I get confidence back.
