2 sanjays and 1 john

Whenever I went out for a sanjay gupta movies my expectations are low on content of movie and high on style factor of the movie.........well my this outing proved me wrong.............

Well on sunday evening my friends were forcing me to go for zinda ..but I dont wanted to go in for this movie and spend 200 odd rupees .............after lot of arguement I suggested that lets watch the movie on monday morning and we can save 50% money (here in inox goa we have heavy differential pricing.....)

The movie started in true gupta style .....grt cinamatography, blue and black filters ...even reds and green were shown in blue filters..........well thats his style and afterwards I realise it was necessary to get u into the true mood of movie....

the film is abt a software engineer bala posted in bangkok then suddenly onday he finds himself locked up in solitude, without any explanation whatsoever....his only pal in jail was a TV set.........it was used beautifully to show how time was passing by starting from death of lady diana , millenium , kargil war and so on ........then he came to know his wife’s murder for which he was accused..........

In the jail bala decides to fight this unknown enemy.........his nemesis i.e. the unknown enemy rohit chopra (John Abraham) enters at half time and thre begins the real fight.......in bala’s fight against his emnemy he is supported by a taxi driver jeny (lara dutta)..

will bala come to know who this enemy is and why is he after him?............well there is a story behind it a mistake by bala which he commited when he was 14 yrs old boy ........

and the final question will rohit be able to take his revenge........or will bala be able to defend himself .......all this has been very well interwoven by the director sanjay gupta.........

To its credit, Zinda keeps everyone involved. All credit must go to leading actors Sanjay Dutt and John abraham.

It’s impossible to think of anyone other than Sanjay Dutt for the role of the protagonist. The actor is stupendous and the cold look he carries right through the film is what makes the character so believable.

John Abraham, is first-rate , but is looking too smart and suave for a hindi film villian but that does not lessens his effort.

Celina jaitely as bala’s wife get what she deserves a shocase role nothingmuch to to do........

lara dutta is okie dokie.......punjabi accent looks natural on her

the music is first rate ............yeh hai meri kahani is one of the best songs of the year..i liked the song so much that I sat for entire end casting for that song .

On the whole, ZINDA is an ordinary story told in a stylish format..........
