Well I had to kill time and that was the sole reason to watch this movie at bangalore.
The cast has some good names and faces. The movie starts off rather awkardly with Manjarekar making fool of himself ( and even after) but suddelny the tempo changes in next 15 minutes and you are thrown into a dungeon looking as desparate as Sanjay Dutt himself. The background score is superb so is camera work, . the dark and grey of his cell, underbelly of Bangkok, is all captured in their true colours. One can not but start feeling equally depressed by the turn of the events with Dutt haveng no where go and only help he can rely upon is of a local taxi driver, Lara who is more than stunning.
Expectedly you are subjected to some potent doses of violence and gore but they fit onto the overall scheme of things. John is cute but menacing, shows e-smartness by ample use of gizmos. the plot as such is narrow and can be summed up as Tit for Tat kind.
Even after the finale, one does not feel relieved but sad on the thought of Sanjay losing out some of his prime youth and family life which is irreversible.
There is no entertainment so forget about occupying the corner seat with your (?), you may get a walkout in the middle of the show ! but other wise a solidly made movie.
