The ZK’s at Kondhwa has been precisely famous for its celebrity owner Zaheer Khan.
I know, many of us Puneites would love to boast about their experience at the place.
So me and my friend decide to go to this restaurant just for an experience.And since my friend lives at NIBM, he could’nt resist the fact that there was a celeb restaurant next to his place.
So there we go. It was around nine in the evening. The location, I must say is too upfront.It doesn’t actually match with the figures to the right of the items on the menu card.The place has three levels viz. a restaurant, a lounge and a bar.
The ambience is good, but a bit loud.The lighting, I suppose, has something to do with it. Another let down is that the place seriously lacks a good view. I mean, the place is almost fully transparent for the whole world to see what you have on your plate(atleast the guy at the signal will definitely be able to!).What I wanna say is that when you don’t have a good view, plz dont keep those glass walls.The place is not on a hilltop or a beach.
Let’s dissect the restaurant categorically:
Ambience: Loud(as said above), chairs are goodlooking and comfortable for your rear (the couches too were looking good).[Average]
Service: The guys are a bunch of young lads.Did little to dissapoint me.[Good]
Food: Delicious. They have got good chefs.[Good]
The Prices: Ah! the important part. Let me tell you, the prices are a huge dissapointment. Boy! Huge is also an understatement here. It’s like you pay a hundred and ten bucks for kababs anywhere else, alright. But at ZK’s, you have to be content with molecule sized pieces.
There are also some issues to discuss before I sign off.
First:My friend ordered a vodka with limca alongwith(65 bucks for that drink.15 bucks for the limca! Sheesh!).
Second:You’ve read the brackets above. You must have felt sad for my friend for paying 80 bucks for a glass of vodka.Well, feel happy! They forgot to put it in the bill! What professionalism man!
Third:We found a live fly(yes!a fly!) on the rim of the vodka glass (but that was after my friend had finished with the drink.So we gave up the matter).
So guys. that was it. My experience at ZK’s, Kondhwa, Pune. Hope you have a better one next time you happen to(accidently even !) drop in. And please mind the flies!
