My daughter Anam Khan on 2.12.2019 at 8.55 pm wanted surprise delivery to a Lucknow address. Her Phone No.is 8655465. We live in Mumbai.
Order details were as under:
Order No. 1596597204, paid using Paytm, Seller: The Hazelnut Factory, . Nirala Nagar, Lucknow. Item: Eggless Chocolate Hazelnut Cake{500 gms}, Total amount RS 558.
Address where to deliver was given as 711, Rolex estate, Kamta, Faizabad Road, Lucknow 226028. Additional address automatically added in the above without any action from us, was, Purana Haidarabad, Hasanganj, Lucknow. This additional address we did not notice at that point as from Mumbai, we can not apprehend that it was wrong address and it software error. After sometime, the delivery boy informed said that it is wrong address as we do not cover the Rolex, kamta, Faizabad Road, Lucknow area. After a lot of arguments we were told by customer care that nothing can be done as address is not correct. we tried to explain but all in vein.
Now, since w e had to send the gift, we tried from the same shop above, through My ID, Nadeem A Ghaznavi, mob no. 9819800, order no. 1898742570, at same address and the COD order was successfully delivered without any fuss. Please note that in this order also, the additional address was added by Zomat software i.e. kankar colony, purana Haidarabad, Hasanganj. Still the delivery boy did the needful and the item reached the destination at Rolex, Kamta, Faizabad Road, Lucknow. This being COD order, the Lucknow staff could not do any misdeed.
Now, I beg to state that, prepaid order was not delivered as the staff came to know that we are based at Mumbai and they deliberately did not delver and the staff told that we will donate the cake. We vehemently begged the cake to delver but they refused flatly. Nor our money was refunded. We faced A LOT OF HARDSHIP, OUR EVENING SPOILED AND WE FELT HARASSED.
We never got the answers to the following:
Same Address with same extension of wrong address added by Zomato application, one order delivered, another not delivered from the same shop to same destination, money forfeited.
The other order was from another ID for the same shop and same delivery location.
Prepaid paid money pf Rs 558 was wrongly forfeited while COD was supplied creating suspicion on wrong intentions on Zomatos part.
Their software, on its own, adds some extra lines in the address after we write full and complete address.
Order booked from Mumbai for Lucknow, hence real time location address not possible for Lucknow. Why and how extra address is added in the Order details in your application after we write the full address while giving orders?
