Its been two years since inspired by competitors zomato launched its online deliverys service that is basically like Foodpanda, Swiggy and Fasoos. They make tie ups with restaurants all over the nation and let customers buy food online on their app from those restaurants located in nearby area. It was extension to their basic service on the app which just stores the location, reviews and menus of all the restaurants, bars and other food joints across the country and lets you survey it before actually planning to visit it.
So here’s couple of my experiences with ordering food from Zomato.
( 1) The first time I ordered a regular thali and some extra stuff from a nearby restaurant in Dilshad Garden, place where I stay. Didn’t have much expectations though and the food was just horrible. It was super cold with puny amount of quantity and served in small plastic white boxes which looked like had been pulled up from junk None of my family members even touched the meal and blamed me for delaying their dinner.
( 2) The second time when I gave then another chance they again proved why they are the worst online food ordering service ever. The delivery guy was late by almost two hours and they kept me in loop until then. You can’t even talk to them on the phone but can only text them on the support chat in which they take forever to reply.
Zomato is really only interested in money doesn’t care about its service at all. They blame everything on the restaurant you order from even when its their fault. They have no communication with their partner restaurants. Its just about time for me to stop ordering from these so called brands that don’t even care about their service and only care for money up and until they improve their service.
