A good example of bad customer service - Never use

Synopsis - I received a Zomato voucher for value AED 50 from UAE EXCHANGE.


I used it to order food using your app order no. 1348278557.


The payment was done by using this personal voucher code and balance by credit card.


The food was delivered later than usual delivery time of the restaurant. Moreover, the order delivered was incomplete.


It was 11:30 PM and I messaged your chat support at the same time that I am returning this order and please ask them to cancel this as I couldn’t afford to wait more to receive my food. I was told to keep the food as complementary and a refund is initiated.


I insisted to take the food back-and at midnight I had to eat at a subway at a petrol pump.


I noticed that you are refunding only the amount I paid from my credit card. I was clearly denied that I will not get my voucher value back.


I have to mention that your customer service was really rude and arrogant. They said the restaurant delivered half food so the voucher value is adjusted against that. It is absolutely ridiculous response to cover up your mistakes.


I can send you the chat screen print. I am sure if you will read it you will know where is your customer service lacking courtesy.


Query- My question is why do I had to end up wasting my voucher for your partner restaurant’s mistake. It’s not about the value of the voucher it’s about why I am not getting my full refund whether I paid using my credits or my credit card when you didn’t deliver


I and millions of people like me use your app for our habit of convenience and because of this habit of ours your company is sustaining in this business. But this experience has left a bitter taste. I would rather call a restaurant myself to deliver than using your app.
