Unreliable service USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

(Edit: 13 Feb’24): "Customer Rating Scam" is new fraud I have discovered. I recently booked Zoomcar in Chandigarh, and host was so greedy that he charged me for full tank fuel, including reserve, upfront at time of delivery, regardless of actual fuel consumption (did not refund for fuel remaining at end of trip); out of the way kept 3K security deposit (and wanted to deduct car washing charges at end of trip, out of deposit); charged flat 1K for fastag regardless of actual toll paid (did not show me actual toll paid, and told it is non refundable at end of trip). And when I wanted to give feedback and rate the host, I discovered that without me doing it, host was already rated 5 star from my side. I suspect host did it at the time of delivery when he offered to complete trip start formalities and I handed over my phone to him thinking he is doing it out of courtesy. Else, there is some loophole in the app. One more time I wanted to emphasize, Zoomcar is just acting as meeting platform, and not taking any responsibility to protect customers. Hosts are now doing whatever they like, regarding fuel, FastTag, security deposit, washing charges etc., and there is absolutely no way customer can make itself heard. Having Zoomcar charging haftey 40% of total trip fee from host, and selling damage protection plans to guests, in addition to platform fee, they are not even doing bare minimum to protect customer interest.


(Previous review): With Zoomcar, you can not trust these people regarding car condition, ease of pick-up and drop, and refunds. There is absolutely no assistance provided during the trip, as a matter of fact the number in App is not even reachable. If you email them, they do have standard closing line that says we can contact them at 24x7 helpline number, but there is no such number. I emailed back asking for the the helpline number, because I found it nowhere, they simply irritate you by just sending template answer every time, and dodging your query.


I booked car from Bengaluru Airport, there were no documents inside, raised issue through app, no assistance. 4 days I was using car without documents, with a persistent fear, what if police checking happens. Absolutely no peace of mind during entire trip. After completing trip, they refunded fuel charges, then later recovered some part of it saying they made a mistake in calculation. No phone call to explain, no explanation in email when asked, only one statement. please make balance payment at the earliest. They are not at all bothered about customer safety, peace of mind, transparency, and prompt communication.
