I had booked a Zoomcar from pune on 17th May for a trip on the next day that is 18th May, my booking ID was JPS6VU97M, this was my second trip so I was well aware of the rules and regulations, while signing off the checklist the zoom car guys were asking for unnecessary documents as in pan card, voters id etc.
On questioning them why was it needed they said it was security purpose, I later on told them last time when I picked up a car this did not happen, y the unnecessary hazzle, to which he made a fancy excuse that the Airport pick up point deals with lot many cars while the pickpoint which I had used last time doesnt deal with such problem to which I let it go coz it was useless to argue.
I started my trip and the AC was not working properly the AC vents kept closing on its own, I went back asking for a change in car to which the guy drove for half a km and said the AC is fine, it will work good at higher acceleration to which I said I am surprised that car s give better cooling only at high speeds. I asked for a change of car to which I was denied, later half way the car tire got punctured and the jack provided in the car wasnt working. I asked for help from few people who said that this jack wont work.
I informed the same to the zoomcar customer care and told ill have to drive with a punctured tyre for an km, which caused the tire damage, later on while the car was parked it got 2 minor scratches of say around 4inches and 6inches. While returning the car I was said that damage charges would be levied on me to which I was fine but then the tire damage charge was forcefully pressed against me, also the guys said that the rim is bent too which was not even an inch of bend and I was told they would be charging me for the same, I said I would talk wid customer care hoping I would get some assistance but to my surprise I was tormented and totally dismayed by the way the customer care people and the social media team dealt and replied me.
In the end I gave coz I dint have any hopes that my condition would be understood, hence I asked for a refund for providing me a car with faulty AC to which the customer care people said they would reverse the excess kms charges that were Rs.468/- and refund it, which I havent received till date, plus I have been asking customer care to provide a detail of the charges levied against me to which I have been told that they cant provide as to what amount has been deducted for what damages which is totally unethical on their part, as I customer I hav every right to know why and for what rreasons specifically my money has been deducted.
