I love driving and instead of owning a vehicle I chose to go for Zoomcar whenever needed. I have completed more than 18 trips on Zoomcar with more than 10k kms completed in these trips.
This time was completely different. I had to drop my parents to the airport, so instead of choosing a Uber cab I took Zoomcar as usual and I cannot forget my this decision for my lifetime.
I had chosen a XUV which is a premium vehicle and I thought I will take my parents for a nice ride and then drop them to airport.
Till now I have done the car pick up from the Zoomcar centre, this time was different. Zoomcar asked me to pick up the vehicle from an Apartment, even the company name was not written on this car. It seemed to be a personal vehicle.
Something was fishy, but since I had a trust on them I took the car. As soon as I hit the road I was unable to drive, I had to give a lot of race to just move the vehicle in traffic. Cars were honking behind me and I was going crazy.
I thought the hand brake was ON but no the handbrake was OFF and my legs got heated up. There was a noticeable burning smell. Somehow I managed to get outside of the traffic and car broke down.
My parents were waiting for me to get to the airport and I was struggling with the broken down car. I could not leave the car as well because when I informed Zoomcar, they told you cannot leave the vehicle until someone comes to tow the car.
I had to wait at the spot for 2 hours and finally the car was picked and I was given assurance from Zoomcar that they will help me.
I had to immediately book a Uber cab and took my parents to the airport in hurry.
As a result of all this we missed the flight which costed around 10k.
I was disappointed and lost. All our plans for the day were disrupted because of them.
I Still trusted on Zoomcar and next day to disappoint me more I get a call that I have to pay 10k to them for the car breakdown, I am completely lost and very disappointed with the way zoomcar has handled the situation.
