Zoomcars are not the zoomcars but worn out cars. Their services are the worst. We never rent a car for self and visit anywhere but this time when one of my friend came across that zoom cars provide self-driven cars on rent, so I and my friends thought to go ahead with the plan to rent a car for 8-9 hours as we were visiting Lonavala from Mumbai. They charged booking amount Rs.5599 something and promised to refund 3000 after handovering their car back to drop location.
Let me tell you the car condition first. We booked 7 seaters car we got Mahindra XUV, Car was quite ok while reaching uptill our location @lonavala but as it was summer time we were getting exhausted in the car because the air conditioner wasn’t functioning properly. We left from Lonavala by 6 and have to handover the car by 8 pm as we were aware about the timings so we extended one more hour to reach the drop location, zoomcars charged us 600 rupees extra to increase time limit. But suddenly in mid - highway nearby to khalapur toll-naka our car had a sudden jerk and we found that the clutch was worn out. Car was not able to move and it got stuck in the mid of Pune highway due to speed lock. We were total 5 ladies and 3 boys together. We tried calling up zoomcars services but they didn’t respond properly and on the top of it they directly messaged us to charge fine of rupees 10000 due to damage occured in car.
(I don’t understand, when we already paid extra amt by ourself as late fee charges, suddenly car stopped in mid highway during night, no mechanics, no zoom car service, nothing and not a single damage has happened to the car from our side but zoomcars din’t understand our problem rather they were more interested to charge hefty fine from us). We spoke to the customer executive 10 times they said they will arrange some cab for us but later that same executive called us back and said all cabs are bussy and we can’t provide any other cab service for now.
We waited their for almost one hour nobody came to help by zoomcar, unfortunately we grils cant risk to be on mid highway so late at night as it was 9:30. After waiting for so long we decided to take lift from some bus or cab. My friend requested near toll booth to stop luxury bus which passes by mumbai-airoli route, we all requested bus conductor and driver to drop atleast half of the location. Thankgod! that bus dropped us near by Rabale station, they charged us 200 rupee per head, we all girls boarded in local train, got down at thane and reachd home somehow. But two of our friends waited nearby highway till 1am with that "khatara" xuv because if they would have left the car in mid-of-the road then company would have find some bullshit reason and would have sued a case on customer so that to take out more money by putting such unncessary blames that so and so damages has happnend to their car. Later that towing van came and they towed the car to Mumbai. Our boys somehow mAnasultanged to come back by asking lift and aishwaryasingh23ing extra for the lift, they reachd home next day morning.
Our extra late fee also got wasted because car got stucked before the time limit which was already provided by the company to us and neither they have returned our balance refund amount till date. It was really a big headache to travel by zoomcar.
Zoomcars runs a business were they fool their customers, risk their family lifes and dont provide any helpful service even if u request them hundred times. They just bother to keep charging extra lumpsum fine and later u will realize you got trapped in this fradulent game.
