I went for the the zoomcar for the first time, was skeptical from the beginning, there was no customer service phone#. I should have took the indication but how can you get benefit without taking any risk. I reside at Bangalore and searched for Adyar location as the starting point. Then the pages for the start time and the end time appeared and I set my preference. And thats it, it went to a page where I am all set to make the payment, and I went ahead and did it. I was little puzzled when it didnt tell me where I should pickup the car, see the screenshot. I was sent a text message that I will get the pickup location 2 hrs before the pickup, see attached. To my surprise the pickup location is at Chennai International airport 15 KM away from the place where I specified for the pickup. My plan was to start early 6AM a timing that I opted as the start time. First I hsd no intention to pick the car far from where I was staying a the hotel, even if I do, I had to take a cab that would have costed me approx. Rs. 1000.
Somehow managed to find a number 18601239666 to call. And the other side of phone turn out to be an obvious people that doesnt understand the meaning of customer service. They were adamant that their application is correct and no effort to trace back from their logs what the customer did. They insisted I saw the pickup location as Airport but I still proceeded with it(madness)
The online should not be the mandatory for booking the car, customer should have the option to go to the nearest pickup location and pick the car from the office. There are no pickup locations, the customer service number is not published on their site, it gives me a feeling the service is of fraudulent depsite major investment from their end.
