Couldn’t use it for more than 32 km
Booked Zoomcar on a Friday evening, to enjoy a nice drive with an intention of purchasing monthly grocery from Dmart. Even after reading several infuriating reviews and customer complaints on the internet, I decided to use it (because of my previous experience). At many occasions, I even encouraged the use of Zoomcar based on my prior experience. Although, most of my friend labeled them as frauds, cheats, money seeking mafias, and many more vituperative terms. Yet, I booked it.
Luckily during the time of pickup, I took some videos and photos. I was in a hurry as semester end exams were going on, so I had to get back home and prepare for them as well. In this hurry and blind trusting Zoomcar, I drove towards my destination thinking everything is alright. Note: the car took about 7 to 8 tries to start, and stopped a couple of times, 2-3 times in traffic to be specific. However, keeping a good faith in the company, with great difficulty I drove towards Dmart, took my grocery and headed back home.
In the epicenter of a lonely road, the car completely broke down. I was making weird noises, so I went out to check what happened. To my surprise, the car tire was punctured. Like a usual customer, I reported this to the company. They replied, taking no responsibility, tossing the customer hospitality in the air, saying that, they won’t assist me, neither will they send anyone to help me rectify their rusted old car. I was left all alone, I had to change the tire by myself. Although I could have just driven it back punctured or abandoned the car their itself, I felt like it was my responsibility to do the right thing and return it to the company. So with the help of my friend on the call, I changed the tire and drove it back to the dropping point. At that point, I had decided to never use their service again and to reside by my friends labeling them with vituperative words as they used to do.
Surprisingly, the following day, they sent me a message ordering me to pay "4000" Rupees for the damage of the rim. I woke up to that message, in a state of recovery period from last night’s experience. I checked the video and the photos, I clicked and found that the rim was damaged before itself. (I have attached them with this message). I felt a need to address them with the same and to others as well. I want to highlight their money seeking scheme, "Provide defective cars, and seek money for damaging it". I am in a hopeless state. However, I want to make it clear that they are not getting any money for me and I won’t be using their services and letting anyone in my vicinity use their services ever in the future. I know it is a lot to ask for, but I urge every individual reading this to support me by boycotting their services. It is important to remember that they are frauds, money extracting mafias with the only aim of stripping people off their wealth.
