In the new phase of life, which came in form of "Work From Home", we were exposed to a new way to socialise, a new way to meet people i.e. "Video Conferencing", and Zoom has proved itself a good service with regular updates on GUI, security and user’s convenience
FEATURES:
It allows users to have a virtual meeting on their devices like phones, laptops etc, users can use either their audio or both audio and video for conferencing, according to their convenience. It also has a good feature to share a system’s screen to others, which helps teachers and tutors to give a better explanantion for the topic.
SECURITY:
At first zoom was very less secured and its user’s data was on stake, many governments restricted this app in their country. but with passing time zoom showed a very good response in updating its securities for user’s data and now it is preffered over many big comapanies’ conferencing apps.
ISSUES;
When their is a lag in network the audio crakes a lot and sometimes it does not support video conferencing. It requires a good device with good camera and good built quality for better experience which could be hard for those who cannot afford such devices.
EXTRA FEATURES;
In zoom the host can mute or remove the participants according to their convenience. The host can create a meeting which can be either open to all or can be restricted with a password. With the free version of zoom the host can only host a meeting of 40 minutes only but with the paid version the time has no restriction.
Being a student I can say that this app has helped a lot of students, teachers, employees, workers etc, to communicate with people efficiently even from their home.
