I went to purchase Yamaha fazer in nov’14. The salesman told me to pay extra 3000/- for registration since I don’t belong to New Delhi and RTO Dept.
New Delhi asks for proper residential proof. So this 3000/- would be paid to the agents basically.
I was baffled since I was new in Delhi and called my local friends and they told that no such rules exist and go for another dealer.
I discussed with the salesman and finally he agreed to not take the extra amount after I given the ID Card and pay slip of my PSU employer.
So friends just be careful especially if you are an outsider.
