Apart from Alpen Glow, Madikeri has many other homestays. Visitors can check out http://www.homestaykodagu.com & http://www.coorg.com for more choices within Madikeri. You are right, but thats if you are trekking in monsoons or winter time. If your aint exploring the jungles and woods, that should not be a issue.
