I'm a 24 yr old engineer based in Mumbai. Despite the suicidal tone of the above poem, I'm not on the road to hara-kiri. : ) Thats just a crazy drinking song I wrote. I actually live on books, music and gadgets. I am .. ahem.. self employed, which means I have no boss to abuse. I often feel I've been robbed of one of life's simplest pleasures. Well, cest la guerre... . Dead men in the river, All just go a-floating past. There's nothing left to see, Nothing to stare at aghast. . There's nothing in the river my friend, Nothing in the river to see, There's live fish and there's dead men, And there's no one else but me. Dead men in the river, Some sit up and talk, Don’t fish in this river son, Dead men's all its got. Dead are all the stable boys, Dead is the fireman's chef, And the valet, he was still alive, But I'm blown if he ain't dead yet. Dead man in the bathtub, Dead as dead can be, Got a face white as chalk, Guess he wanted to be free. Nothing in the bloody bathtub, my friend, Nothing at all to see, There's just a old dead man there, And, by Jove, the dead man's me.
