To bring a closure to this - I contacted their customer support on Jul 6 (like they had asked me to when I had called them earlier) and their system allowed the rep to drop the package. Lets hope they fix this so it becomes as easy to drop packages as it is to add them.

@aquarius_83 - I am not suggesting that we be allowed to drop the package anytime before 30 days. They require you to call 'exactly' 30 days after if you wish to remove the package. Lets say if you forget and call them on the 31st day - they will charge you for another month and the 30-day clock sta read more...
