After 5000kms i would say the mileage in the city varies between 12 and 14. I stay in Andheri, nr Saki naka (people living in mumbai can understand the traffic situation there).

If i have to do the filing myself there are other sites TaxShax which do a better job at calculating taxes.. TaxSmile site is strictly OK if u have only salary income. Also have you ever got thru their helpline.. i think its bull####.
