Hi, your battery is a sealed gel unit, very advanced and safe. Sometimes it can take two goes to get it started, but remember you have a new and tight engine. Economy should improve as well. Yours is faster than mine. I love the handling above all, it feels like a real bike. Enjoy, you have made a g read more...

Sorry, I didn't mean to upset Suzuki GN250 owners. It is the best selling bike here in NZ. But at 6' and over 100 kgs, the riding position is just too cramped for me, and perhaps this affects the steering for me. Your mileage may vary, as they say. All I know is the Kinetic GF170 fits me like a glo read more...

Nice to see some fellow Kinetic fans out there. I went into Wellington today for a meeting, and saved over 370 rupees compared to the car, so the bike's already earning its keep. It didn't appreciate the high speed thrash, though, and the gearshift got a bit sulky downtown, but it was OK on the way read more...

It is always unfortunate when a production line fault is combined with unhelpful service personnel. If this had happened to me, somebody at Honda would be in hospital with severe injuries. Luckily I have not had a starting problem with my Dio, just a left hand mirror reluctant to hold its assigned read more...

Five days ago I took delivery of my very own Dio (called a Lead here), and I've just done 110 km. I've used exactly half the tank, so that works out to 103 mpg, which I'm happy about. I mainly travel 20 to 30 km trips, plus little local errands. I have been at 70 kph on occasion, which is a bit read more...

You have owned your scooter for two years and I have only had a (long) test ride, so your opinion carries more weight than mine. That said, I felt I could carry on for up to an hour (max) and still be able to walk afterwards (in 13 degrees of cold). As I said in my review, I have health proble read more...

When kick starting a 4 stroke engine, the effort can be light if the piston is on the exhaust stroke, but heavy if the piston is approaching top dead centre on the combustion stroke, when both the valves have closed. This is why some large single engines have compression relief valves, either auto read more...
