While I appreciate the best services of BMTC with good courtesy of its staff, it is painful to note that the nameboards of BMTC Buses in Bangalore do not carry English names also in addition to boards displayed in Kannada. Bangalore is a cosmopolitian city where many foreigners and people from various states are visiting either on business or on tours. One cannot expect all the visitors are affordable to use either autos or taxis always . On one occasion or other every one is forced to use BMTC buses and I often find many are experiencing a lot of problems to board a correct bus because of the reason that no name board is used in English, except in one or two buses. While I agree that local langauge should be given preference there will be nothing lost if name board is written in English also in addition to Kannada langauge as is done in other Metro cities . I hope the authorities of BMTC will realise this fact and help the commuters at least now onwards.
