I am a mother of two and I would just like to say that television programming today is not what it used to be when I was growing up. I’m sorry to say that the importance that was given to things like educating children in fun ways just doesn’t seem to exist today. All TV channels care about is gimmicks and reality TV shows with mindless messages. What TV needs is something that I grew up on like the BQC. Now that was a show which kept children like me and many others glued to the television and at the same time we also learned a lot. Someone name one edutainment show today that is as popular as the BQC was. I don’t think you can. Because it doesn’t exist. Somebody bring Derek O’Brien back! Our children need someone more substantial (than celebrities) to emulate.
