It seems that the children’s TV programming these days is focused solely on cartoons. When I leave my home, I would like to leave my son in front of the television thinking he is going to gain something from it. Not become a product of mindless entertainment. The GenX requires knowledge enhancement to progress. Programmers today should take a cue from successful, yet intelligent shows aired in the past; for example, the Bournvita Quiz Contest. Shows like that were household favorites, not because they had funny pictures or big budgets; but because they held peoples' interest through genuine intent to educate, to teach. I believe it’s time for shows like the BQC to return to warm our minds and hearts. Our kids will definitely thank us for it.
