Teacher education is too fundamental an aspect in the spectrum of education to be taken lightly. It is akin to production of quality seeds. If the seeds are good, the crop would be good. A good teacher can make an institution. And an indifferent teacher is more dangerous than an incompetent doctor. The latter may kill one at time, the former destroys a generation.

Whatever stated above may sound utopian or an unrealistic and impossible dream. But given the pace at which the society is changing and the need for highly focused and skilled young men and women, we have got to make it real. One thing is certain that if we refuse to change now, the society would change us!
