Working in Automobile industry for various companies in last 3 years I have learnt a lot from this industry and I know that everyone has dream to buy a car. Cars are become our necessity now a days. To travel in short time of period we need cars. Hence most of the people want to buy a car but it is not possible for everyone. Middle class families like mine always dream to buy a good and less run mileage second hand car. But find out a car on your requirements is very difficult. Sometimes you don't like the car or color and sometimes your budget is not match and when you get your suitable car on your budget that time many people are made mistakes. They often do not inquire much about the car and they buy the car without any hesitation and later within a year they get problems from the car and they have to spend lots of money and time on it. Their dream car become their nightmare. The beloved thing become headache and I have seen lots of people who always be unhappy just because of their cars. Hence I am going to share you some of the most important tips to not get into involve in such kind of things and how to buy a used car in complete peace of mind. So without wasting your time let's get start.

1. Never buy a car from any unauthorized dealers.

Unauthorized dealers are buy the cars from different sources and even they also don't know the proper history of the car. They buy the car and refurbished as cheap as possible and sale the car in profitable amount. They don't want to know that how much you struggle to buy a car. They reduce the actual mileage of the odometer and tell the customers that this is real mileage. So I recommend to you never buy a car from unauthorized dealers.

2. Always buy a car from Authorized dealers.

There are lots of benefits if you buy a car from authorized dealers. First you can able to know the car's actual mileage, the proper service history, the last owner name and location(if you want to know), free services, warranty and lots more. So I tell everyone that always buy car from authorized dealers. Like Maruti-Suzuki's True Value arena, Hyundai's H Promised, Cars 24 etc.

3. Check service history.

Knowing service history is must if you want to buy a used car. Ask dealership(if you buy from dealer) or owner to show you the service history. It will help you to know more about the vehicle's health and also it directly effect on longevity of the car . If service history is not proper then never buy that car. Lubricants, coolants are must have to replaced on time. Otherwise it will cost you.

4. Check if there any accidental repaired.

Minor accidental repairs are ok. It could be door dent or bumper replace or anything body related which would not affected the main components. But heavy accidental repairs are not good. Like entire front side repaired, apron repaired or engine repaired etc. The car could give you headache in near future.

5. Buy a car which is under warranty(If possible).

Authorized dealers give one year Used car warranty in maximum cars. Under one year of period if there would be mechanical part failed then dealer will be replace the part under warranty in complete free of cost. Which is very good thing for any customer. Hence try to buy a car which is under warranty.

6. Not buying too old car is also a right choice.

Every single particle has a expiry date or limited time in this world. Even metal's properties has their own expiry time. Cars are relies on Metal chassis. Chassis has to lift the entire load of the car. There are also lots of moving parts in the cars who doing the same function for the ages. These part get rust after one limited time of period. Another reason is to not buy a old car is according to our Indian rules the RC(Registration Card) of the vehicle get expired after 15 years and you have to renew the RC again in DTO office. It cost you extra headache and waste of some more money. Old car's parts often not available in the market or somehow you would get, which also would be not genuine.

7. Check Engine noise and performance.

Engine is the heart of the any car. Engine is the power generator of the car and gives the power to move . To check the Engine first turn ON the ignition of the car and check the following points-

a) Engine noise

b) Engine smoke (Black smoke means Fuel is not burning properly/ White smoke means Engine oil coming into the Cylinder block)

c) Check if there Engine oil leaking problem through gasket or oil seal.

d) Check Dashboard lights if there any Light remains glowing ON .

e) Observe the Engine vibration. Mis firing causes of excessive vibration of the Engine.

if you get any mentioned issue in the car then change your mind. Engine related issues are major problem of the car. Your pocket might be empty for this reason.

8. Check Tires as well.

Tires are one of the most important part of the cars. The entire car is relies on the tire. Most of it car's mileage depends on the tires. If your tire has proper grip and inflation then you would get good mileage. Tires also help to prevent any kind accidents as well. The main point is that tires are little bit of costly so before buying used car watch out tires also and if you find that the tires are excessive wear then negotiate with the price. It can save you some money.

9. Take a test drive in uneven or bumpy roads.

BEFORE TAKE TEST DRIVE CHECK BRAKES EFFECTIVENESS FIRST

We all have the habit of before buy anything we check that first. Even we take trial of cloths before we buy. Same in the cars also, before buy used car take a test drive but not in plain road or High way. Always drive on uneven or bumpy roads. If you do so you would be able to find out if there any noise from the body of the car and suspension condition and how comfortable the car is.
