Rajinikanth started the game of following and followers with his twitter followers on Monday. This move came just prior to the release of his much-awaited movie "Kochadaiiyaan" - touted as the nation's first'photo-realistic performance capture' movie.

The digital world is finally blessed with his presence. He has told the media that he's looking forward to catch up on the "best Rajini one-liners". His twitter handle is @superstarrajini.

The 63-year-old Indian superstar said in a statement, "I decided to start with Twitter because I felt that the platform is abuzz with all the news and the trends that happen across the globe and I'm told that this is where all the best Rajini one-liners are."

Rajinikanth's popularity with the masses across the country is primarily because of his style, screen appeal, peerless action stunts and dialogue delivery in his movies. These factors make him one of India's most influential and liked superstars.

He said in a statement to the media, “I've always believed that my career graph is a miracle I owe my fans. I have been contemplating joining the social media platform for a while to connect with them, hear what they have to say and share my thoughts. Unfortunately, I never got around to it until now."

Rajinikant, fondly called Thalaiva, has collaborated with Fluence - a celebrity digital network, that will be taking care of his twitter account.
