I took an appointment of 3:30 PM on 10th Oct'15 at Richfeel Trichology Centre at Kondapur in Hyderabad. When I came to the clinic, I was asked by the recptionist to furnish my personal details: age, phone number, weight, height on a form and was asked to sign under a section called "Declaration". When I asked the receptionist what the declaration meant and could she summarize it for me, she said "You please read it". When I started reading it, I was surprised to note the following things:

  1. The declaration stated that I had already met the doctor and had a discussion regarding my condition with him/her(my appointment was with Dr.Kalyani).

  2. It stated that I also understood from the doctor that the results of the treatment might vary from individual to individual

I expressed my unwillingness to sign on this dotted line without having met the doctor since ideally these declarations should be taken AFTER one has met with the doctor. At this point the receptionist stated that she will check with the doctor and went inside the clinic. She returned after just 1 minute and mentioned that signing the declaration is "Mandatory and a Policy".

At this point, I refused to sign the declaration and came out of the clinic. All this happened in front of a male doctor(i assume) who just kept looking and did not even care to explain why such an unethical policy was in place?

Overall, I am convinced now that the horrible feedbacks available on the internet about Richfeel are not a hoax and are actually indicative of the reality. I will not go back to them ever again, and would request all of you to be very careful when you interact with this bunch of unlawful doctors/Quacks.
