Go to http://www.marutibaleno.com/ and see yourself. Maruti too states that it is not 92 bhp but 91 bhp indeed. Anyway, I don't think that 91, 92 and 94 makes any difference as it will always be ugly compared to Ikon, Petra and Accent.

I don't really think it is fair to compare Fusion and Swift, especially when it has almost 20 bhp more than the Swift, is much faster, better handler, stronger and mcuh more fun to drive! Hey Vishal, Thanks for your feedback. Ford cars are not exactly cheap to maintain. The dealer (by default) suggests replacing the parts rather than repairing. You have to specifically request the dealer to 'repair' it! Only then will they repair the part...Quite a lot of Ikon parts (especially read more...

If I have to give only one reason why I rated it 5 (instead of 4 or 3), it has to be for Inspector Maaar-Tod-Kaaar! Well, Fusion pricetag does seem a little stiff if you compare it to Ikon 1.3, Esteem or Getz (in the range of 5-5.5 lakh). Well, absolutely agree with you. I guess in US/Europe, Hyundai Accent, GM Nubria (Optra in India) and Ford Fiesta (the one from which Ikon's chassis' been derived) are known to be entry level cars rather than luxury cars as they are called in India. Hi Sujaij, Baleno starts at 6.1 lakh for the LXi model (at least when I had enquired sometime back) and goes up to 7.0 lakh for the VXi model. Thanks a lot Milind for your views :-). By the way, my Ikon averages about 9 km/ltr in Pune city, not bad since I switch on A/C all the time. I read in Overdrive that City gives 26 km/ltr (!), has anybody ever managed figures even close to this? The best my City Owner friend could achieve on highway read more...

Old Palio 1.3 (not the NV guise) has a faulty odometer which used to show lower number of km than actual reading. Just increases the false impression that its mileage is low. Ikon maintenance is rather high compared to say Esteem, the servicing cost is 1800 Rs. (compared to Esteem's 1200 Rs.). Spare parts costs too are high compared to Maruti cars (check traveller's review for more details on maintenance). And about Baleno as a alternative to Ikon, yes indeed it is. But read more...
