@Route66, Yes. You are right about Ford design. Their cars are more functional than being flashy. To me the Ford Fiesta still appeals good than many other sedans. Sorry about Chevy Beat. I saw the car and thought it was a coupe version in a hatchback. My friend clarified this last week itself. Since it was a petrol car, I didn't look into much details about it.

The Maruti showroom gave me a RITZ to test drive saying that it has the same engine as Swift. And Ritz has European design. That reminds me of my decision to go for a diesel from a cost perspective. Lets take the Ford Figo as an example here. 1.2 petrol titanium against 1.4 diesel titanium. Regarding Ford, its a welcome move to stop the confusing Fusion (same goes with Chevy for stopping SRV which I never saw on the roads) which was in no position to compete in the small car segment.
