Interesting take Swapna...much more so than the movie itself!
Thanks Purnima:) Yeah, Prateik has such an interesting face....hopefully he will find his place in the industry and will work on himself:)
:) for your ''No novelty abt bumping into dhobis and parsis eh! '' comment! Peepli Live would have left me too if Hori's character hadnt touched me. :) Prateik did make the dhobhi ghat look more exciting than looking at my sterile white washing machine...but you have to be a woman to see that! But yeah, the movie lets you down completely. Thanks for commenting!
:) Maybe Aamir Khan is a hen-pecked husband! Such a pity for his fans though...and I rate myself as one of them. Absolutely! It has no ending, the characters dont have any definition (except may be Munna), poor Aamir was saddled with the worst written character of his acting career.....lots of elements that let you down. True...I suppose we cant really review a movie for its accuracy coz we dont really know. I suppose the movie is good if it manages to bring the character to life and have you identify with him....which this one does. What Idi Amin really is like, no one knows..but Forest Whitaker does PLAY him well.
@See_ani So true. Movies that are good, possess you for a long time after you're done watching them. Which is what I think distinguishes Udaan from all the other movies this year (except LSD for me, which lingered too, but in an unpleasant way!) Hope you do get to do what you want. Hi Rukun Hope you have been able to watch it in the theatres. If not, I am sure they will screen it on tv soon. If the story gave you goosebumps, then that is probably coz you can relate to theme...DO watch it is my recommendation :) Thanks a ton for stopping by.
No, its not a typical anything...but at the same time one knows that families like that exist, men like the father do exist. I loved the creative poems and the story (the one he narrates in the hospital) too. Added to the genuineness in that Rajat's character actually appeared to be a talented read more...
