Yes, ofcourse, the credit will come back to the same source like Bank or Credit Card. But in my case, in the meanwhile, I was missing out on other hot flight deals as I was running short of funds in my account for no fault of mine
Since I paid by Direct Debit(net banking), My account was immediately debited. As per rules, the funds have to be refunded back to my account only by Makemytrip.com. Anyhow, the amount has since been credited back to my bank account. However, I learnt my lesson. In future, I will book my flight tick read more...
