Except for looks nothing plus for SX4, even magazines I have read reviews on SX4 everyone talks about less interior space. Mileage is correct 9-10 km/l. This is the main reason for falling sales of SX4 and Rs 50,000-60,000 discount on SX4. Otherwise it is good car, i think so?

Gearbox problem is quite common, not one in million as someone suggested. Maruti hasn't sold million SX4 so far :)) . Quality has always been issue with Maruti. I was in Goa recently on conference and my client booked SX4 for me for airport-hotel-airport trip. This is the first time I sat in the rea read more...

Karthik, you have a valid point. Every time I test drove new problem surfaced in the car. Also first two times I could not drive on highway but after crossing 100km the drive and noise level increased tremendously. On low speeds in city the pick-up in 2nd gear was missing, the dashboard was making t read more...
80 percent SX4 seen on road are driven by chauffer since it lacks driving pleasure compared to Verna. I test drove SX4 at least 4 times before selecting Verna. SX4 has a very lazy engine and lacks refinement….at the end of the day it is a Maruti product. Also when people talk about SX4 good handling read more...

Saroea, welcome....you made the correct decision and you will not regret. I drive a Verna XXI (earlier accent) past 5 months and pretty satisfied with; it has all main features and gizmos of SX4 ZXI except for airbags. Most of my driving is in city so I never felt the need. Maruti products wil read more...

We all know by now verna is a good car with consistent performance & healthy sale numbers. But I am surprised to see Accent doing well. Last year I was sure with competition like Logan, Dezire, Tata etc. coming in Accent will die a natural death, although it is a very good car I have driven it 5 yrs read more...

I have been reading this thread for sometime now. While purchasing a car I do look at the technology used, specs etc. It is very similar to buying a PC in 2008 with Windows 98 loaded. But then you are right adidhar most of the people don't go for all these details may be for them performance, luxury read more...

It is scheduled to launch in June in Thailand so pictures might get available but yes the rumor is around Diwali time but then do expect 1-1.5 lac price increase to present model, that's what dealers are saying.
WoW this is wonderful news let me tell my colleagues who were planning to buy Verna XI and had shortlisted the same after comparing (test drive) in detail both SX4 and Verna. Thanks for the info.

Well I don’t know about Verna diesel but generally mid-size diesel cars like Fiesta, Logan, Indigo etc. wear and tear is quite high and mostly require tire change between 30-40,000 KM compared to 40-50,000 KM for a petrol car. His is due to excessive heat, weight and high vibration/friction. That’s read more...

Maruti is a typical public sector company – simple thing we all know how uncomfortable the rear seat of SX4 is and the armrest is a big pain & a lot has been said about it. If maruti as an organization want to rectify this problem it can be easily done in 30-45 days (no rocket science) but it is now read more...

Great review! Looks, interiors is something which differ from person to person....there are people who find mistakes in BMW M3 and CIVIC interiors whereas others love it. Undoubtly it is a great car, I have been driving XI few months, getting 12 plus with 80% A/C in city. Best part about this car is it is noiseless.
