ACT broadband in Bangalore needs no introduction. After relocating to Bangalore I decided to subscribe to ACTs 999 freedom plan (15mbps uptil 40 GB and 512 kbps after that).
I contacted an agent on the 15th of March 2013 and paid him the money on that very date which was 1640 rupees( One month connection charges i.e 1040 + rs 500 as installation). The very next day in the evening ACT service engineer was at my doorstep and my connection was active within an hour. Really impressed with the quick sales and activation.
Usage wise , I have not called the customer care even once during the last 15 days and speeds are as promised. Youtube videos will not pause for buffering on any resolution and movies/tv shows are downloaded at outstanding speeds. I recommend the usage of VUZE bittorent client with this connection. Really impressed with the connection so far.
My only complaints with my plan is the post circuit breaker speed of 512 kbps. This on my opinion is way too low as in Delhi I was using the Reliance 12 mbps plan and their post circuit breaker speed was 1 mbps. I would like to urge the ACT people to look into this as its common sense that 512 kbps will absolutely disgust a person who was using 15 mbps for most part of the month. Making it 1mbps will guarantee you people more subscriptions.
The upload speeds of the connection are also brilliant and the best part about uploading on this connection is that it doesnt reflect on the FUP Usage. All in all, ACT Broadband has my thumbs up.
My experience includes using SIFY , AIRTEL, RELIANCE and TATA INDICOM BROADBAND.
