Never take multiple Airtel postpaid connections

I have about 4 Airtel postpaid mobile connections in my name. Recently I wanted to change the rate plan for all 4 numbers. Given this I called 121 and requested for change of Plan. The customer care executive was a lady who was getting irritated when I kept saying I have one more mobile number that needs change of rate plan.She kept asking "one more number eh ?" It appeared rather than being glad I owned multiple Airtel connections and brought more revenue to Airtel, She seemed frustrated that I was giving her more work. In spite of her frowns I went ahead with my requests. Now comes the bitter part, after a month when I received my bills I realized the rate plans were not changed even for a Single connection. Looks like the customer service executive took 45 mins of my time, showed her frustration and finally did not do the basic job she was asked to!!! Can u ask for more??


Having learned my bitter lesson, this time I made separate calls for each of my 4 connections so that the poor customer care executives doesn’t get burdened & confused ;-) And finally succeeded in getting the rate plan change done.I patted myself on the back :)


The moral of the story is if u have a need for multiple mobile phone connections please look at different service providers instead of burdening just Airtel :) this way u will get better service & also better pricing...
