This has reference to interaction with Admission office for inquiring a few things about the BTech courses offered therein, which could not be figured out from their website. The admission office is represented by an old man. I found his attitude like that of staff of some municipality office. To begin with, he asked my ward’s rank at their entrance exam. As soon as he learnt that he was not in top 15%, I was made to feel I was unwelcome, and that a favour was being done to me by answering my query. It almost bordered contempt. Although all my queries were answered, I was made to feel my ward had committed a big crime by aspiring to join their college. This was quite opposite of the kind of enthusiasm I have observed at Admission office of the other colleges of engineering in Bangalore, irrespective of my ward’s performance at their respective exams.
