When you go to watch a film which has Hollywood greats like Bruce Willis, Cate Blanchett and Billy Bob Thornton, what do you expect? Well, something like a great film, but this film is not only funny but re-affirms your faith in these ageing actors.
The movie is about these two prisoners, who escape from jail and want to earn easy money, and quick. Joe(Bruce Willis) and Terry(Billy Bob Thornton) do one thing special, they not only steal but they have good hearts. They go to the person’s house, sleep over at night and then burgle them. Thus become known as the ’’Sleepover Bandits’’. Cate Blanchett (looking very pretty) who is a frustrated housewife who’s husband never seems to be around, bumps into Terry and then lives along with them and joins in their adventures.
The end of the movie is well done with something different than the mushy endings of any other comedy movie. Its good to see Bruce Willis do such roles again after ’’The Whole Nine Yards’’. Thornton is also good ans shows a fair amount of courage in his acting. But the major surprise which you will find after watching the film is Cate Blanchett. She not only looks stunning but very few people must have watched her in her other movies. And comparitively she excels in this role too. Very soon she’ll be coming in a movie ttled as ’’Veronica Guerin’’ and she is undoubtedly the finest actress in hollywood today.
So, basically its a fun film with a catchy storyline and funny one-liners (That actually make you laugh!!) . So you should watch this film to take a break away from the usual action and serious films in hollywood.
