I am a heavy online shopper, receives around 2-5 packets every week from online store. My purchases mainly goes in electronics and after that anything if the price is right.
I have shopped for around 10+ online stores and around a month back purchased things from BigAdda.com, its Reliance ADAG venture so obviously I did not doubt it. I order one item and it took around 10+ days for them to ship it to me. But yeah it reached.
So I went ahead and order another item from their site, and am still waiting for that. And with this item I started talking with their customer support and found cons in their approach.
They never replies to email sent, neither from the feedback form.
Now what BigAdda does is; it provides a platform to the traders. It does not control them like ebay or tradus. So once they have informed the vendor, they are done with the order. in short there is no buyer protection with this site.
Their customer care can not cancel the order if it is not shipped with in defined time. They just do not have authority.
They took so long to ship the product, at least 7 working days is written on their site and they do not entertain your complaints before that time. Now in general all online shops ships it in 24-48 hours, but perhaps they are still living in some ancient age.
On top of all this, they charge you separately for shipping as well.
If you are shopping from bigadda, you are at seller mercy, if he ships the products in time, you are good otherwise bigadda can do nothing about it.
They are not recommended in this era of online shopping. Not at all. If you want peace of mind, stay away from them.
