Seeing the review comments, I wanted to try out the DataOne connection and applied for the same. Line men came for connecting the phone and started asking for money in the same way the BSNL is famous for.
In 4 days other group of people came and installed the modem, demonstrated the connection with their temporary login ID and pushed off without giving mine.
In 2 days with 11 calls I got to know my ID, it was working fine for the first day and then happened what I was always expecting from BSNL. The link went down and I called them. They gave me a docket number. When nothing happened for 4 days, I called them again to check the status. I was told that the docket was closed the same day to my surprise. I asked them to re-open that but they opened another one.
Following day I again called them and I was asked to call my exchange number which they provided me 23242198 - which does not exists; when called back and told about the number I was given another number 22482508 - WHICH BY COINCIDENT ALSO DID NOT EXIST. Then I was given a mobile number 9433325252 which belonged to some sales person and next time was given a mobile number of Shri Deori 9433000505, who always switches off the cell when he gets the ring.
After so nice experience I happen to tell in my next call that I want to disconnect the connection, then I was told that it’s me who is doing something wrong on the terminal. Wow !!! I am really honored by the DataOne.
