I had a terrifying experience with Dr.Venketesh Munikrishnan and till now it is haunting my mind like a nightmare. My husband just escaped alive from the hands of this Dr. by the grace of God.I came to know of him from internet and decided to consult him for a minor lapro surgery for my husband. First we visited his clinic in Anna Nagar, Chennai. fixed up a date for the surgery. Shortly the day of surgery came, at Appolo Hospitals, Greams Road, Chennai. My husband had to undergo lots of tests which were very costly. The surgery was unsuccessful and I requested the doctor just to give my husband back alive. I had paid an amount of 1 lakh and surgery was stopped half way.I had the shock of my life. With a small kid, there I was standing alone in front of the operation theater not knowing what to do, with my husband unconscious. I was scared out of my wits. I cursed the moment I chose this Dr. Before we had visited another Dr at the same hospital for the same surgery but he ruled out the possibility of laproscopic surgery and instead recommended open surgery. But Venketesh Munikrishnan convinced us that a lapro would be good . The other doctor suggested tests for mere Rs.150, at the same time Mr. Venketesh wanted us to do tests which costed Rs.18000/- from a nearby private clinic. I came to know later that this clinic gives a huge commission to this Dr for recommending this test to the patients and this test is quite unnecessary. This Dr. always wore costly Suits and now I understood how he could become so wealthy. Whereas the other Dr. wore simple clothes as he couldnt afford to maintain a huge wardrobe. The hospital also is under suspicion, of making money along such doctors. I thought a lot about writing this and bringing it in front of the public as many people are likely to be cheated by such Dr. Thanks to Mouthshut which is only the safest place to write the truth as we need not fear about bringing out the truth. I have the full records of test and bills given to me as proof. So I request every one to be careful when choosing a doctor, not to fall as preys to such unethical, cruel and cheating doctors.
